Shall We?
we dance
swirling like ballerinas
to a groovy disco tune
banging our heads
to the reggae, to the blues.
absurd, this dance
where you wear black lipstick and red gown
and I a glittering tightsuit,
pink tightsuit.
i've two left feet, you none (you float).
it's absurd, this absurdity
of making a playground of the floor,
sliding, swinging,
seeing stars,
sawing off limbs.
it's absurd, this dance.
but the music still plays,
your lipstick stays black,
my tightsuit glitters pink.
we dance.

why are all the guys into pink nowadays? saka tightsuit? glitter? (bwahahahahahahahah) saka black lipstick? (mahilig ka pala sa goth...) *sweatdrop*
absurd indeed. :D
beautiful absurdity. btw, is it possible for a person to be goth if he/she wears pink? or is black a requirement? haha.
uy, siya pa ang sweetie mo? =)
Yihee! :D
Nami-miss ko na mag-couple blog.
light....secret..! ;)
quel talaga o...hehe. when's your blog going to be finally up? you should be blogging! it's summer! :p (is that right logic? hehe)
maybe it's in the makeup. black lipstick is way too.... weird.
totally absurd. o_O
btw, nice poem!! :)
well, i loved the poem. and the black lipstick and tightsuit thingie makes it more... romanticized. besides, it's a refreshing change from conformity =P
ia, well, that's why i put it there in the poem ;)
i concur, yayam. thanks!
ygraine, i'm glad that you did. :) thank you very much.
'i've two left feet, you none (you float)' i can imagine that... the absurdity made the poem beautiful.
kind soul of an anonymous person, thank you. it's one of the lines that i love best.
"i've two left feet, you none (you float)"
I like this line pare.. :)
so...hmm...dancing is th new "IN" thing for guys now huh?
:D
this is a nice poem... a day ago, i watched again dead poet's society... the last time i watched it was when i was in 2nd year HS... never appreciated it... but when i watched it last thursday..i just realized that i've been a life of poems - a sacred romace between your heart, nature and God... poetic
the title reminds me of the abc5 show. ha ha. nice poem. :)
earl, then that makes you the 2nd happy person. and a happy writer, here ;)
er..claudzki, i assure you, the only dance i know to perform is waltz. haha!
judas, i'll forward that to pic's author :)
andy, you said, "i just realized that i've been a life of poems - a sacred romance between your heart, nature and God." man, i just love this line. a life of poems, containing all the tragedies and comedies. elegant.
ie, thanks. sabi ko na nga ba e, someone would remember that show :P
you should publish or something, then lend m money when you become rich :)
olrayt, no problemo, just find me that publisher! though i doubt there'd be one ;)
black lipstick, pick tightsuit, reggaes, disco tunes...
careful not to step on her feet.
since when have you been dancing, corsair?
i will take care, hera. if you mean the literal dance, then i'm no dancer. but if you meant metaphorically, then...hehe, tough question ;)
(obviously the corsair is blushing way too much [or trying to blush way too much] and is not able to answer the question properly. haha!)
ms. honest secrets..so i take it i was fortunate enough not to have watched it? hehe.
